When I firsts started my Graphic Design Business I called myself “Talkin Zebra”. I love Zebras. They are my favorite animal to look at. I love the graphic, abstract like quality of their skin. Since my business was a voice for other businesses I felt this would be a creative way to express what I do both metaphorically and visually as the actual design of the zebra is made out of computer components. I had to draw from scratch each computer element and compose it into the stripes of a zebra. Then with the zebras mouth wide open as if he was the Pony Express declaring the news, I felt it’s forward head movement as if it was running along with it’s mouth open told the story of design declaring the message of your business.
Moving forward, my first love has always been Fine Art painting. I started with that and I really wanted to pursue a career out of selling my paintings and prints. I have been very successful in that venture but as fine artist I noticed how expensive it can be to get an online presence if you are not savvy like I am with the computer. Any small business can be overwhelming when it comes to start up costs on top of possibly making your product or providing a service, It’s a lot! I have done a lot of this work for myself. I’m not saying that’s necessarily a good thing as I become a one armed paper hanger, as my mother used to say. It just saved me a lot of money and was a necessary evil to being in business. Having been in this position, I see how valuable it could be to a small start up business or creative to have this part done for you at an extremely affordable price.
I have made great connections over the years so I am able to offer many other services through these connections. I try to work with people who have not gotten too out of the ballpark for new start ups. Most of them can work with you remotely and others like the photographer would be a more local situation.
I am still a painter and Fine Artist but I have down time in the winter months which gives me the opportunity to help you.
